10 Ways Men Can Have Less Stress and More Love
Men can learn to effectively manage stress in a ways that will help maintain a happy relationship and sex life.

We all know that stress can be an emotional bummer, but did you know that it can also negatively impact your sex drive? When most guys hear this, it can often be a wakeup call as they examine their stressful lives and its impact on their sexual pleasure. Luckily, there are many things that guys can do to help decrease their stress and increase their sexual enjoyment.
Here are ten things guys can do to reduce stress and increase those lovin’ feelings:

Ask for a little time.
When you are stressed out and need to relax, your partner likely notices and will probably want to know what’s going on. Instead of shutting down and saying “nothing,” why not tell her you had a bad day and just need an hour or two of downtime to process it and relax? She will likely understand, and it will help you avoid an argument.

Get physical.
Go for a run or play a game of basketball with your buddies. Anything that gets you sweating will help you relax and work off that extra cortisol (the stress hormone).

Avoid using alcohol as a release.
A beer or two might help you relax, but it can be a slippery slope if you get in the habit of using alcohol to calm your racing mind.

Journal your thoughts.
If you aren’t a talker, it can be hard to get negative feelings out of your system. Try journaling to help you find that release. Who knows, you might find out that you have a gift for it.

Kick some butt in video games.
So you can’t walk up to your boss and say what you think of him or her, but you can release some of that aggression by playing Call of Duty or Halo with your friends. Hey, if your wife can relax at the nail salon with her friends, you deserve a little guy time too.

Have couples massages.
Not only will it keep you bonded, but it can also help you relax and tap into your sensual side. Chances are it will help your wife relax and get in the mood as well.

Take a boxing class or go rock climbing.
Find an activity that speaks to your inner caveman and get moving. Not only will you burn calories and get stronger, but you’ll build confidence as you push your body to its limit.

Have sex.
Nothing is more physical and primal than sex, and best of all, regular sex can help to decrease stress. More orgasms and less sex? That’s a win-win.

Take a hot bath.
Sure, it doesn’t sound like a “manly” thing to do, but those old stereotypes are for the birds. Nothing beats a nice soak in the tub when it comes to de-stressing, and, hey, it’s not like you have to tell the guys about it.

Do something thoughtful.
Whether it’s sending your mom flowers or helping a neighbor move, doing something altruistic can help improve your mood and remind you of what really matters. Stress might be an inevitable part of life, but that doesn’t mean it has to ruin your mood all day long.
